Job Description

Our client is a pioneering and globally recognised automotive technology and aftermarket business based in Warwick. Due to continued growth and the implementation of their upgraded SAP ERP system, they are now looking to acquire the services of an experienced Project Coordinator to join their team on an initial 9-month fixed term contract. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Project Support, as the purpose of this role is to maintain a view of all aspects of a project, ensuring that project documentation is up to date and stored in the appropriate location, managing the project plan, highlighting risks and issues to the project manager, and to ensure delivery to timescales. Our client needs someone who is confident to hit the ground running on commencement within a busy environment experiencing pivotal business changes. Please note: This position is initially a 9 month, fixed-term contract, to commence ASAP, but there could be potential for an extension or perm role. The role offers hybrid working (3 days office based from Warwick and 2 days home based).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify project risks and issues and deal with them as appropriate, escalating in a timely manner to the programme or project manager as required.
  • Work with third party suppliers where required to share project plans and track progress on the project.
  • Manage and maintain the project library, ensuring all documents are filed in the appropriate location.
  • Assist the programme or project manager with preparation and submission of regular project update reports and act as a point of contact for the project team on project status. Assist with the creation of project communications, training materials etc. as required.
  • Arrange and coordinate project-related meetings including core project team, steering group etc. document actions agreed, distribute in a timely manner and ensure relevant project documents are updated. Cover project team meetings when the programme or project manager is unavailable.
  • Follow Business Change project management methodology and standards and promote the use of these standards throughout the team.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a project coordinator or equivalent within a programme or project delivery team.
  • Experience of following project delivery best practices, policies, procedures and processes.
  • Experience supporting an ERP migration or upgrade project is highly desirable, especially if dealing with SAP.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Team player -with a can-do attitude and good sense of humour!
  • Ability to multi-task and remain detail-oriented with sound time management.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Results driven.
  • Builds trust with key stakeholders and can understand the customer perspective.
