Job Description

Our client is a long-standing, highly innovative manufacturer of home furnishing products. They have experienced a significant increase in demand since the beginning of 2020, really bucking the trend against the backdrop of the pandemic. Due to the rapid growth in company turnover, they are now looking to expand their People/HR team in Leamington Spa. They are looking to recruit a HR/People Administrator, ideally someone who has either recently qualified in a Human Resources subject, or someone with a couple of years working within a HR function. Please note: This is an office-based role working at their site in Leamington Spa. As such, you must live locally to Leamington (within 10 miles maximum) and be able to commute to the location on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the recruitment process, from job description preparation through to interview and job offer.
  • Assisting preparing and overseeing the induction of new employees.
  • Keeping abreast of employment legislation.
  • Monitoring all employee records, including; holidays, parental leave requests, absence and sickness.
  • Managing all personnel files, including visas, right to work checks and licensed sponsorship status.
  • Assisting with work placement processes.
  • Gathering and evaluating market data to measure salary competitiveness.
  • Maintaining calendars to manage team availability.
  • Arranging training programmes to include personal and professional development.

Skills & experience required:

  • A recent HR qualification, or 12 -18 months HR administration experience.
  • A desire for exceptional customer service to colleagues.
  • A team player ethos is essential.
  • Comfortable working with colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office and Google suites preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Meticulous eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Modest, whilst confident in their own ability.
  • Reliable, trustworthy and values driven.
  • An interest in the world of art, architecture, craft and design is highly desirable.
