Job Description

Our client based in Warwickshire is a market leader in the Home and Garden accessories sector. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to acquire the services of an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic and fast-paced team. The successful candidate will report to the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating the supply chain element of the business as well as coordinating personnel and processes to achieve the effective inbound flow of goods. You will also be responsible for the management of outbound export freight and non-network deliveries into Key Accounts distribution centres.

Main Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator:

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
  • Work closely with purchasing to ensure the timely collection of all inbound freight in accordance with Supplier SLA
  • Maximise freight efficiency
  • Track and communicate all inbound freight
  • Liaise with product development teams to ensure the correct commodity codes are used for importing goods
  • Ensure all inbound paperwork is correct and communicated to the 3PL provider
  • Manage the pallet count at 3PL ensuring consolidation is carried out
  • Booking and coordinating of outbound export freight
  • Ensuring non-pallet network freight is booked into key account DC’s on time and with correct documentation
  • Maintain and update product information at the 3PL provider

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Disciplined, self-motivated, professional individual.
  • Proven experience in freight management
  • Knowledge of importing and exporting requirements including customs clearance
  • Conversant in Excel (intermediate to advanced), word, and other Microsoft packages.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Methodical and able to work to timelines.
  • Able to scope and stream the workload.
  • Check all work for accuracy and quality
  • Ensure all work output upholds brand identity and integrity.
