Job Description

Our client is a growing company specialising in international events for the B2B sector who are looking to grow their team with the addition of an Events & Exhibitions Sales Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with ambitious growth plans and a passion for what they do. The main purpose of this role is to source, pitch to, close and account manage businesses to exbibit at the companies’ exhibitions. The ideal candidate will possess previous B2B Sales experience within the Events & Exhibitions sector, however candidates from other industries with B2B Sales experience would also be considered.

Events & Exhibitions Sales Manager main responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and grow relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Achieve annual revenue targets set by the Managing Director.
  • Visit competitor exhibitions and domestic clients and close business face to face as well as over the phone.
  • Provide weekly sales reports highlighting both closed and pipelined sales.
  • Keep updated with local industry knowledge through use of google alerts and media.
  • Support marketing colleagues with market insight and copy for promotion.
  • Exhibition floorplan management.
  • Managing of post sales service and account management to clients.
  • Identify and attend competitor events when required achieving set revenue targets onsite.
  • Ensure the company CRM is maintained to a high standard.
  • Demonstrate authority onsite at organised exhibitions, ensuring your availability as the face of the exhibition.
  • To deliver best possible results for all participating exhibitors through customer service, industry knowledge and personal ability.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous B2B Sales experience is essential. Experience specifically within the Events industry would be highly advantageous.
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record of over achieving sales targets.
  • Experience of high vale sales activity is desirable.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Must have an excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience of both phone and face to face sales activity.

Additional Information:

  • The is a full time, permanent role based in Coventry. The working hours are 8.30am – 5pm Monday – Thursday and 8.30am – 3.30pm Friday.
  • This role will involve some international travel, attending 3 – 4 events per year. Time in lieu is given for any additional hours worked during Exhibitions.
