Job Description

Our client is an extremely reputable and growing business based in Leamington Spa who offer a diverse range of services to a dedicated customer base. The business specialises in delivering these goods and services through a global network, and in turn, gives back financially into the community through charities and schools. One of their key internal brands is an insurance business who are experiencing rapid growth and as a result are looking to expand their team with a Commercial Account Handler. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the insurance industry and will possess excellent communication skills. Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional service as required to clients including all aspects of commercial insurance, acting as a primary point of contact.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service.
  • Produce commercial renewal schedules and relevant renewal information.
  • Process proposals to completion and then follow up on outstanding documentation.
  • Provide quotations for new commercial insurance business using the Acturis system.
  • Prepare commercial business prospects.
  • Carry out any other administrative duties as required on behalf of the Business Development Managers.
  • Maintain current knowledge regarding industry compliance.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Must possess knowledge and understanding of the UK general insurance market.
  • Experience in insurance product management/development/administration is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop collaborative partnerships with internal & external stakeholders is essential.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, being proactive and highly adaptable.
  • A track record in providing accurate quotations and meeting sales targets.
  • Ability to deliver good customer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from clients.
  • Able to prioritise and organise day to day duties and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Acturis system would be advantageous, but not essential – full training will be provided.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products is preferable (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Information

  • This is a full time, permanent position and the hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
