Our client is a thriving logistics company based in Coventry. They are a global leading company specialising in fast and efficient logistics solutions across a wide range of industries. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to acquire the services of a customer focused, professional Logistics Coordinator to work in their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong transport / logistics background. For the successful candidate the company offers 30 days holiday (including 8 BH’s) rising to 33 with service along with other fantastic benefits.

Main responsibilities:

• Planning and managing time-critical logistics solutions throughout the UK.
• Route planning and extensive knowlege of UK geography.
• Engaging with suppliers and agreeing on the best transport solution to meet their needs – rate negotiation where necessary.
• Proactively identifying and troubleshooting logistics challenges to ensure a seamless service.
• Ensuring the bespoke computer system is correctly monitored and updated.
• Building excellent relationships with clients who may be under immense pressure.
• Updating clients in a professional manner and dealing with enquiries promptly and efficiently.

Key Skills & Experience:

Essential:

• Previous transport/logistics experience.
• Previous route planning experience.
• Ability to communicate politely and effectively with a variety of people internally and externally.
• Good IT skills and confident using any computer equipment.
• Analytical and logical problem solving.
• Be ambitious and goal orientated.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• An enthusiastic and energetic “can-do” nature.

Desirable:

• Time critical logistics experience is advantageous.
