Our client is a privately-owned family business which has roots firmly placed within the local area. They are one of the leading suppliers of their products across the UK and Ireland, in addition to exporting into countries across the globe, so their brand is widely recognised. Due to experiencing their most successful sales growth to date, the business is looking to invest in the Sales Team by recruiting an experienced Internal Account Manager to join their team. This individual will have responsibility for looking after existing accounts in the South Region, with the view to growing these accounts and identifying any possible new customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Account Manager role and enjoy working in a proactive style, from their own initiative and drive to see results. This will suit an outgoing individual who enjoys building and developing relationships and the confidence to talk to existing, lapsed and new customers by phone. In return, the business can offer a competitive base salary and benefits package, inclusive of a commission structure in which you can significantly increase your annual earnings.

Please note: flexibility for a mixture of office and home working will be considered.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and lapsed customers.
  • Develop more business within existing key accounts.
  • Ownership of a specific geographical region.
  • Maximise sales of product promotions and services.
  • Working alongside the field sales team to implement monthly promotions.
  • Generating appointments for the field sales team where applicable.
  • Processing sales orders and Submitting customer quotes.
  • Maintaining the CRM system.
  • Research and identification of potential new customers.
  • Contact new customers to promote products and services.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience in a telesales, sales or account management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully working to, and hitting, targets.
  • Previous experience using a CRM system.
  • Appetite to learn and develop excellent product knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills with a confident and articulate telephone manner.
  • Tenacity, drive, and self-motivation.
  • Commercially astute.
