Job Description

Our client is a rapidly growing business that is known for the quality of its service and industry expertise. It has an extensive national account programme which it is looking to accelerate by employing the expertise of an experienced sales professional.

The successful candidate must have worked in the grounds maintenance industry and be experienced in overseeing bids & tenders, implementing pricing strategy and also develop and manage national key accounts.

They would have excellent communications skills and the ability to develop and maintain sound relationships with customers, as well as all key stakeholders in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop and implement a sound growth sales strategy. Liaise with all the all the relevant stake holders to ensure the strategy is successfully implemented.
  • Create and hit sales targets.
  • Provide creative solutions to client’s specific requirements.
  • Complete quality submissions to clients, presenting and winning national key account contracts.
  • Manage the bids & tenders team
  • Complete a pricing strategy and roll out national pricing template.
  • Establish and build professional relationships with customers and all relevant business stake holders across the country.
  • Analyse and provide sales data, monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Keep abreast of market innovations.
  • Conduct a rolling competitor analysis and provide quarterly reports.
  • Identify new potential markets and customers.

Key skills/experience required;

  • Must have proven experience in the grounds maintenance industry sector
  • Overseen bids & tenders and national pricing strategies within this sector as well as prior experience of managing successful teams.
  • Excellent sales and customer interfacing skills
  • Gravitas and leadership personality traits.
  • General IT ability (MS Office & CRM)
  • Mobile with UK driving license.
