Job Description

Our client is a leading professional services business, with a service reach across Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. They are looking to recruit an experienced marketing professional, who will work alongside the senior leadership team to execute all of the marketing campaigns for the business. The company provide B2B services, so it’s important that the post holder have prior experience of running B2B marketing activities, ideally for a ‘service’ led business, rather than consumables/products.

This role would make you responsible for running all marketing activities for the business, with the overall purpose of generating quality new business leads for all areas of the organisation. You will be setting up arrangements with 3rd-party marketing and events agencies, to ensuring that the company receives a high standard of specialist services, to really cover all areas of the marketing mix. Therefore, there will be a great deal of liaison work between those selected suppliers and the company’s management team, to ensure that the business is marketed in the right way and in line with the overall business plan. You will have primary responsiblity for the company’s brand, advertising, PR and events, as well as digital platforms such as website and social media.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all marketing activities through engagement of 3rd party marketing and events agencies, to deliver a seamless marketing service to the business.
  • Ownership of the company website, including content, SEO, PPC and again, management of 3rd party website agencies, designers and specialists, to create an engaging and customer-friendly digital presence.
  • Act as the lead on design and creative imagery for the company, to maintain and further develop the company’s brand presence.
  • Manage and lead on direct mail campaigns.
  • Lead and develop webinar portfolio for the company, including promotion, design, content, branding and follow up/feedback collation.
  • Ownership of the company’s events calendar and working closely with events agencies to ensure professional and engaging events are created and well-run.
  • Oversee all social media output across all channels.
  • Reporting on all marketing activity for the company, producing reports on activity, ROI etc.
  • Ownership of the marketing budget.
  • Represent the company at meetings, events and other functions including public speaking, introducing guests and some networking.
  • Supporting the HR department with internal employee events, communications and charitable activities/sponsorships.

Key skills/experience required:

  • Very good organisational and 3rd party agency management experience (marketing agencies specifically).
  • Broad marketing expertise, to develop brand and marketing strategies across the entire mix.
  • Able to work autonomously in a stand-alone role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confident to represent the company at events, involving some public speaking.
  • Good overall IT experience, in particular MS Office, social media channels and website CMS.
  • Qualified in relevant marketing diploma such as CIM or similar.
