About Us

Who are we and why do we do what we do?

Our company was created out of our passion to deliver a recruitment experience to businesses and jobseekers that is second to none. The Directors and founders are Stuart Moore and Claire Kingsbury, who set up Plus One Personnel in early 2005. Having worked in the recruitment industry since the late 90’s, we felt that whilst a lot of Recruitment Agencies provided a general ‘one size fits all’ experience, there was a lack of personal relationship building, consistent quality and innovation in our area, and these core values are not only what Plus One Personnel were built upon, but what we continue to work hard to achieve today.

Stuart and Claire started the company with the ideals that our Consultants and our service should be professional and ethical at all times, that we should be customer-centric in all of our processes and innovative in terms of offering new ideas and value added services - principles which have been at the forefront at every stage of the company’s development.

Claire and Stuart also feel that it is important to give something back to the community and through Plus One Personnel, have developed local initiatives such as the annual Banbury Employee of the Year Awards and our quarterly HR networking club, intended to facilitate the sharing of information and experience between ourselves and local business professionals.

 

Who are the people behind our company?

Stuart Moore

Stuart has worked in the recruitment industry for over 12 years, following a successful career in the telecoms industry. Having worked in senior management for other respected recruitment firms, Stuart created Plus One Personnel with Claire Kingsbury in 2005, with a commitment to building a strong, professional recruitment company to cater for the needs of every employer. A naturally creative person, Stuart is always looking to develop new ideas and drive the business forward and is passionate about ensuring that everyone who contacts Plus One Personnel has a positive and constructive experience. Stuart is also proud to be a member of Banbury Cherwell Rotary Club, through which he dedicates time to local charities and fundraising causes.
 

Claire Kingsbury

Claire has worked in the recruitment industry since 2003 after a successful early career as a business finance specialist in the factoring industry. Her keen commercial acumen and ability to work with people at all business levels has earned her an excellent reputation in her field and has been the inspiration behind many of Plus One Personnel’s more innovative ideas. Aside from her ‘day job’, Claire is also the current Chairman of the Banbury Chamber of Commerce and is passionate about helping the growth of the local economy through businesses working together in partnership. Claire is also privileged to be an Honorary Commander at RAF Croughton - a role she very much enjoys.

In our capacity of Recruiters, we strive to provide our clients with the very best candidates that we can find for their job vacancies and therefore we take this exacting approach when recruiting and training our own staff.

What does our company stand against?

You’ll never find Plus One Personnel make any false claims or guarantees that we don’t or can’t stick to. Honesty is our policy and our clients love working with us because they know that they will get a truly consultative service, helpful advice and great matching skills! We work with like-minded people and so you won’t find us posting ‘fake’ or misleading job vacancies on our website, sending CV’s to companies without consulting our candidates first or any other shoddy practices that have sometimes tainted our industry.
